Saturday 6, Aug 2022: Free summer activities in The Blue Market
Join us on Saturday 6th August for free summer activities in The Blue at Market Place SE16. Listen to live music provided by the talented musicians and singers working with Unity Music Arts Team and a free mosaic workshop with Trees For Bermondsey.
These activities are free and everyone is welcome.
Live music from 1pm to 4pm
On the first Saturday of each month till September, Unity Music Arts Team brings a group of fantastic professional singers and musicians to entertain us with a series of soulful songs and rhythms. Whether you want to see on any of the seats provided or just relax and enjoy the music while having something to eat and drink in one of the two cafes in the square.
Trees For Bermondsey Mosaic workshop from 11am to 3pm
Join TREES FOR BERMONDSEY and help to design a mosaic to line a beautiful birdbath for the new Octopus Garden on Dunton road.
Rada from The London School of Mosaic will show us how it is done. The final design will feature wildlife and plants as well as an octopus.
The workshop will explore ideas through collage, drawing and discussion as well as tactile mosaic making!

Visit The People’s Mural
One must for anyone visiting the Blue is a photo of the brand new People’s Mural, an amazing street art work by Paul Butler telling the history of Bermondsey and The Blue.
