Bermondsey Carnival Parade 2019
The Bermondsey Carnival Parade is back! The Bermondsey Carnival is a popular annual event in Southwark Park but it has not included a street parade for a number of years now. We have been tasked by local residents to restart the parade. The parade is a creative and fun way to visually demonstrate the connections between local residents, the Blue Market and the main site of the Carnival in Southwark Park. The theme of bicycles and beautification was chosen by residents and will help raise awareness of the local environmental issues.
As part of a full day of activities around Bermondsey, we will run workshops in the Bermondsey Uprising pop-up shop in the Blue Market Place from 10am.
